Ashleigh’s experience in the field …
Ashleigh is an Astar trained Process Art Facilitator who has gained a wealth of experience facilitating a variety of community projects over the years. She completed a Trauma Training seminar with Lafika, attended Lalela Heart Map Training, and a workshop on conflict resolution with Michelle LeBaron. In addition to facilitating process art for a variety of adult groups over many years and giving teacher training, her community experience includes 6 years facilitating workshops for at-risk teenagers at Enlighten Education Trust in Hermanus, Western Cape.
Ashleigh has facilitated weekly therapeutic art sessions for special needs children and adults at Camphill School and Farm for several years. She has 2 years part-time experience teaching art to at-risk youths for the Kusasa Project in Franschhoek, and previously worked for the former NGO, Africa Trading, assisting adults from the townships to market their crafts.
